Football Accumulator Tips

Millwall v Bolton – Millwall Win

Millwall were formidable last season at the Den last season which helped them seal promotion via the Play-Offs. Neil Harris' side won 12 of their last 17 matches at the New Den and they should be able to get their first points of the season here. They dominated Nottingham Forest last weekend but somehow failed to find the back of the net and if they pack their shooting boots for this clash they should be able to get the better of the Trotters. Bolton began with a 3-2 defeat at home to Leeds and got out of jail by beating Crewe in midweek. Phil Parkinson's side will cause problems going forward for the hosts but are likely to head back North with nothing to show for it.

Bristol Rovers v Peterborough – Bristol Rovers Win

Our accumulator tips are following a similar format here with home sides who are very effective on their own patch. The Gas definitely fit into that category and had a tremendous record at the Memorial Stadium last season. They lost just once here since the end of November and that was a topsy turvy 4-3 defeat to Millwall at the end of the season. They won four of their last five matches here and they have stengthened over the summer. Billy Bodin scored twice in midweek and will be keen to add to his tally. Peterborough did start with a victory last week against newly promoted Plymouth but they are likely to struggle on their travels and we're backing the home side.

AFC Wimbledon v Shrewsbury – AFC Wimbledon Win

AFC Wimbledon have strengthened well over the summer with the additions of Liam Trotter, Cody McDonald and Djimi Abdou and they can get their first three points of the season at home to Shrewsbury. They held Scunthorpe to a 1-1 draw last weekend but they are decent at home and they take advantage of a side who were poor travellers last season. Paul Hurst's side are certainly more organised but tend to prevail at the New Meadow as opposed to on their travels. They lost three of the last four away matches at the end of the season and won just once on the road in 2017. The sides drew 1-1 here last season but AFC Wimbledon look significantly stronger this time around and Neal Ardley's side can pick up three points.

Cheltenham v Crawley – Cheltenham Win

Gary Johnson's Cheltenham are on a high after knocking out Oxford in the midweek Cup and they are on home turf for the first time this season. They were cruelly beaten by Morecambe in the final knockings of the game and they can see off relegation-fodder Crawley here. They conceded just three times in their last seven home matches at the end of last season winning five of them. Their squad depth is still a concern although they have added Hibs striker Brian Graham to their roster this week. They have the in-form Mo Eisa firing them in and Danny Wright can also cause problems for a porous Crawley. Harry Kewell's side have lost their winning mentality and were battered by Birmingham in the cup, they are unlikely to pick up points here.

Leyton Orient v Maidstone – Leyton Orient Win

Our final accumulator tip takes us to the National League. Leyton Orient got their first points of the campaign in midweek with a 3-1 win at home to Solihull Moors and they can kick on at the Matchroom Stadium on Saturday. The O's have signed well under Steve Davis and the likes of David Mooney and George Elokobi can definitely cut it at this level. They were never expected to win at Sutton on the opening day of the season and their home form is a better indicator of their ability. They face a Maidstone side who failed to net against Ebbsfleet in midweek and were held at home by newcomers Maidenhead on the opening weekend.
