Both Teams to Score Accumulator Tips
Oxford v Portsmouth – BTTS
We start at the Kassam with Pep Clotet's men hosting a confident Portsmouth side. The hosts got off to a decent start with a 2-0 win at Oldham last weekend but they crashed out of the Carabao Cup unexpectedly at the hands of League Two Cheltenham. They have goals in the side with the likes of Wes Thomas, Josh Ruffels and Kane Hemmings. Xemi grabbed his first goal for the club in midweek and powerful frontman Jonathon Obika got in on the action too. They should provide a real test for Kenny Jackett's Portsmouth. Pompey also got off to a winning start with Brett Pitman notching twice for his new club. Jackett's side are a talented bunch and although both of these sides kept clean sheets in their opening games, they were against blunter opposition and this should be a terrific watch for the neutral.
Plymouth v Charlton – BTTS
It's been far from the perfect start for Derek Adams and Plymouth Argyle in League One as they slumped to a defeat at London Road last weekend before crashing out of the Carabao Cup in midweek. The Scottish boss admitted he made too many changes for the game and he will be back to full strength here. Their first match at Home Park of the season is bound to draw a big crowd and they should at least get on the scoresheet. Charlton started with a victory at home to Bristol Rovers but played the majority of the match with ten men after Lee Novak was dismissed in the 6th minute. Karl Robinson's men are quite attack minded and will be looking to expose those gaps in the Pilgrim's back-line.
Barnet v Luton – BTTS
Barnet have been a joy to watch under Rossi Eames and the 33 year old has his side playing some lovely stuff. They came back from 2-0 down at the weekend to draw with league newcomers Forest Green before knocking Peterborough out of the cup in midweek. They haven't managed to keep a clean sheet yet but they are always a threat in the final third and the Jean-Louis Akpra-Akpro and Shaquille Coulthirst are always a threat. Luton need to bounce back after a disappointing cup exit against Ipswich in midweek but their confidence will be high from notching eight against Yeovil last weekend and the Hatters should get on the scoresheet against a less-then-watertight Barnet back-line.
Grimsby v Coventry – BTTS
Russell Slade's Grimsby will be hoping their pitch has recovered sufficiently after their match with Derby was abandoned on Tuesday night. They were a goal down at that point and they will be looking to build upon their opening day victory against Chesterfield at home against promotion hopefuls Coventry. The Sky Blues have some talented players such as Marc McNulty, Peter Vincente and of course Jodi Jones. Mark Robin's side netted against Blackburn in midweek and are confident in front of goal. This should be a cracker of a League Two contest.
