Ante-Post Football Accumulator Tips

Championship – Derby to be Promoted (7/2)

Derby should be much more competitive under Gary Rowett this season. The former Birmingham boss oversaw improvement when he took over at Pride Park and with a full pre-season under his belt, he should be able to guide the Rams back to the Premier League. They've lost Tom Ince but still have a hugely talented squad with many strikers in the squad including David Nugent, Nick Blackman and Darren Bent. Jacob Butterfield and Bradley Johnson will also be helped by the competition of Tom Huddlestone who has joined from Hull whilst the steady presence of Curtis Davies is also a boost. They ended the season in decent fashion including drawing with promoted Huddersfield and I fancy the East Midlands outfit to be promoted either automatically or via the Play-Offs.

League One – Blackburn to be Promoted (6/4)

Blackburn are the favourites to bounce back to the Championship and they look in a decent position to secure promotion. Tony Mowbray picked up plenty of points when he took over at the club but they left it too late. The former Middlesbrough boss has added to his squad this summer with Bradley Dack and Peter Whittingham looking decent additions. Dominic Samuel adds competition up front and they have Danny Graham who should score plenty at this level. Rovers should be able to make Ewood Park a fortress and despite a difficult start to the season (travelling to Southend) they should be able to bounce back to the second tier.

League Two – Luton to be Promoted (11/8)

Surprisingly Luton are not favourites for promotion with Steve Evans' Mansfield the team expected to secure their passage to League One this season. Luton came very close to reaching the Play-Off final but ran into a spirited Blackpool side who went on to beat Exeter in the final. They've added James Collins to their side and he scored 20 goals last season in a struggling Crawley side. Alan McCormack has bags of experience whilst Andrew Shinnie could clearly hold his own a level above. Nathan Jones' side perhaps lacked a cutting edge last season but with the addition of Collins, that could be problem solved!

National League – Tranmere to be Promoted (11/8)

Tranmere will be aiming to bounce back following the disappointment of missing out on promotion last year. Mickey Mellon's side are well equipped and the additions of Oliver Norburn, Jack Dunn and George Waring look terrific. They have a huge following and Prenton Park will be rocking every single week. There are doubts about many of the other sides in the division and Tranmere should get the job done at the second attempt.
