Football Accumulator Tips

Fulham v Brentford – BTTS

Surely? This looks on paper like an obvious BTTS selection but we've seen stranger things happen in West London derbies. Fulham are pushing for the play-offs and have been in excellent form lately. They hit Huddersfield for four at the weekend with the Terriers following it up with a clean sheet against Wolves. The Cottagers are devastating going forward and can hit sides quickly and effectively. Brentford aren't bad in the final third either and were one again putting a side to the sword at Griffin Park. QPR were the victims on that occasion. Fulham's last 5 results have been 4-1, 3-1, 3-1, 3-1 2-4. The Bees have netted 18 goals in 7 games.

Ipswich v Sheffield Wednesday – BTTS

Ipswich once again have nothing to play for and sit rooted in mid-table. Mick McCarthy's side are perfectly capable on their day but a dry spell earlier in the season has seen them find refuge in the centre of the standings once again. They did hit Newcastle for 3 here recently and it's now 6 goals scored in 2 home matches – the Portman Road faithful don't know what has hit them! BTTS has landed in 5 of 7 here and it's hard to see Sheffield Wednesday not getting on the scoresheet. The Owls picked up a 2-1 win against Derby to aid their play-off chances. They've netted five times in their last three away matches and have only kept 2 clean sheets in 9 matches away from Hillsborough – they came against the bottom two.

Barnet v Grimsby – BTTS

Both of these sides have had a recent change of manager and they are both heading for a relatively comfortable mid-table finish. Barnet sacked Kevin Nugent with Rossi Eames back in charge for now. Under his tutelage previously they did look like scoring and threatened regularly at the Hive. They got back to winning ways against Hartlepool at the weekend scoring twice and missing a penalty in the process. Grimsby under Russell Slade have certainly found their attacking mojo. Chris Clements has been excellent and restoring James Berrett to the starting line-up has helped. They hit 4 last week against Yoevil and BTTS has landed in each of their last 7 League Two matches.

Mansfield v Portsmouth – BTTS

The Stags need is greater here as they push for that final Play-Off spot. With Stevenage seemingly faltering, Steve Evans will feel his side can nick that 7th position. They've been in decent form recently and have only failed to score once here in 2017 (v Plymouth). They have enough firepower in the squad to suggest they will hit the target here against already promoted Portsmouth. They don't keep many clean sheets at home with only (then barren) Carlisle failing to find the net here in the last 7 matches. Pompey have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 6 games and Paul Cook's side are certainly playing with the freedom of a side who have already secured their future.
