Brighton v Wigan – Brighton to Score Over 1.5 Teams Goals
Even if Brighton don't win this match they should find a way to breach the leaky Wigan back-line (twice). Brighton have been playing on the road recently and they've hit two past both QPR and Wolves – they're even stronger at the AMEX. Here, they've hit three past Reading and Birmingham and four past Burton. They only managed one against Blackburn but Rovers are more organised than Graham Barrow's side. Wigan came back from 2-0 down to beat Barnsley. They needed a Nick Powell intervention to help nick the three points but didn't defend convincingly during the 90 minutes. The Latics have shipped 11 goals in their last 5 matches.
Scunthorpe v Chesterfield – Scunthorpe Win
Scunny are back in form after a wretched couple of months which saw them drop out of the automatic places. Graham Alexander's side beat Bradford 3-2 here before keeping back to back clean sheets against Bolton and MK Dons. They are still entrenched in the play-offs and a few more point will secure their position in the top six. They host lowly Chesterfield who could be relegated with a defeat here. Gary Caldwell's side were hit for four by Southend on Friday and confidence is very low. They don't have goals in the side and are relying on youth products to get them goals.
Oxford v Port Vale – Oxford Win
On bare form it looks difficult to trust Oxford. They haven't fared well since their Wembley failure but they are a decent side and they should have too much for the league's worst travellers. Michael Appleton's side have only won two of their last five home matches but the other three have been against Sheffield United, Bolton an Fleetwood (The League's top three sides) and they only narrowly lost to 4th place Bradford on Friday. Port Vale are struggling and could still go down. They've lost three straight matches and have slipped into the bottom four. They've used a number of different players this season and it's been a real mish-mash campaign. They've won just once away from home and scored a paltry 12 goals on their travels.
Accrington v Crawley – Accrington Win
Accrington kept a clean sheet on Friday drawing with Blackpool but they escaped with a point after Kyle Vassell missed a penalty for the hosts. They're back at home for this one against Crawley. John Coleman's side have been in decent form but spent the first half of the season labouring and struggling for points. The play-offs may still be a stretch but it offers terrific hope of next season with John Coleman proving a dab hand in this division. Crawley have struggled recently and only drew 0-0 with Cheltenham on Friday. Factoring out the Leyton Orient – they've only scored twice in five games.
Maidstone v Boreham Wood – Maidstone to Score Over 1.5 Team Goals
Maidstone are in terrific form. Barring the 3-0 defeat at Macclesfield they've won four of the last five and they've also been successful in three of their last four here. They're scoring plenty of goals too – hitting 4 against Chester and Barrow and 2 against Barrow. They scored three away at Wrexham on Friday and will be confident of finding a way past leaky Boreham Wood. The Woodmen conceded three to Dagenham and even shipped twice in their victory against lowly North Ferriby. The hosts have scored 11 in their last 5.
