Nottingham Forest v Blackburn – Nottingham Forest Win

I was very impressed with Nottingham Forest on Saturday as they tore Huddersfield apart. Mark Warburton has clearly instilled some confidence in the side and even without the benched Britt Assombalonga they ran out 2-0 winners. It should have been much more as both Jamie Ward and Ben Brereton missed chances. Blackburn manager Tony Mowbray admitted Saturday's home defeat to Barnsley was one of those days where nothing goes right. Rovers still have problems at the back with injuries and Mowbray must now galvanise his troops. Forest have lost just twice in eight and they'll be full of confidence after Saturday's display.

Bristol City v QPR – Bristol City Draw No Bet

The general summation from Bristol City fans is that their side would be much higher in the table without manager Lee Johnson. The former Barnsley man has been questioned over his tactics and can't seem to set up a side to play away from home. BUT they've been pretty handy at Ashton Gate recently and they should get something in their quest for survival here. They've lost just once in seven here (Against Play-Off chasing Fulham) and have recently beaten in-form Wolves and high-flying Huddersfield here. The Robins have Tammy Abraham back in the side and he will get the goals. QPR lost at home to Brighton on Friday night and have been poor on the road. This could be their 4th consecutive defeat under Ian Holloway but his young side are safe and building for next season.

Coventry v Charlton – Coventry Draw No Bet

Coventry have massively improved under Mark Robins. They won the EFL Trophy and have lost just once in four games (to promoted Sheffield United at Bramall Lane) At home they've beaten Port Vale, Peterbrough and Bristol Rovers and although it's looking bleak they've given themselves a fighting chance. They've only conceded once in three matches at the Ricoh and they welcome poor travellers Charlton on Friday. Karl Robinson's Addicks did beat Southend at the Valley at the weekend but on the road they've been dreadful. They've concede at least two goals in each of their last five away matches including four against Shrewsbury and three against Rochdale and there are many Charlton fans who still question the boss' tactics.

Millwall v Northampton – Millwall Win

Poor old Northampton had to sit and watch whilst Sheffield United sealed and celebrated promotion with their former boss in charge. The Cobblers fans have a great respect for Chris Wilder and the work he did at the club and they must kick on. They are settled in mid-table comfortably 15th under Justin Edinburgh and there is the possibility some of the players may have clocked off. Millwall are pushing for promotion and have an excellent record here at the Den. They've won 5 of 7 here and have conceded just two goals here in 2017. The price may be short on the Lions but it's worth including in the accumulator.

Newport County v Yeovil – Newport Draw No Bet

Newport have become hard to beat under Michael Flynn and they've given themselves a real chance of survival. Few expected them to come away from St James' Park with anything to show for it on Saturday but they left with three points and barely gave Exeter a sniff. They are hard to beat and the 5 man defence is helping. They are back on the god-awful Rodney Parade pitch here and Yeovil might not fancy it. The Glovers will probably want to get the ball down and play but it's near impossible on this surface (ask Doncaster) and Newport could take a step closer to survival here.
