Both Teams to Score Accumulator Tips
Fulham v Ipswich – BTTS
Fulham need the points here after they slipped up against Derby in midweek and lost their play-off place. They are looking to catch Sheffield Wednesday who play at 5:30pm. The Cottagers are full of goals and have hit 9 in the last 5. They've also scored 15 in their last 7 home matches and have been royally entertaining the Craven Cottage faithful. They don't keep many clean sheets here though with the last one arriving mid-way through January. Ipswich come off the back of a thumping win against struggling Wigan. The Tractor Boys continue to tread water in mid-table but have lost just 1 in 11 and will be hard to shake off. They've scored in each of their last 7 away matches and have drawn four of those 1-1. Mick McCarthy's side do carry a goal threat and their frontline will be confident following the midweek success.
Chesterfield v Port Vale – BTTS
Chesterfield have started to improve under manager Gary Caldwell but they might have left it too late. The Spirerites haven't been good enough this season and they look to be paying the price now. They held Bolton to a goalless draw last time out which was a terrific result and they've had a good rest in midweek. They've netted in 4 of their last 5 matches here and should find a way past a Port Vale side who are also struggling at the wrong end of the table. Vale were beaten heavily in midweek but played a large portion of the match with just 10 men. If they can keep a full complement of players on the pitch they should find a way through. BTTS has landed in 4 of their last 6 matches on the road and neither side can afford to sit back here!
Northampton v Sheffield United – BTTS
The Blades weren't able to secure promotion on Wednesday because of Fleetwood's victory at the Kassam Stadium but they can have a second attempt aat Sixfields. By that virtue Sheffield United should go for this and will push forward. They do score plenty of goals on the road but have struggled to keep clean sheets along the way. Their last four results on the road have been 1-1, 2-4, 2-3 and 3-3. They've only failed to score once on the road since the 6th of August and should have more than enough firepower here. Northampton have been much better since Justin Edinburgh arrived. They are playing as a team and have plenty of threat going forward. Matt Taylor missed a penalty in their last match here which saw them fail to net for the first time since November in front of their own fans. The Cobblers hit a last minute equaliser at Rochdale last weekend and that should given them confidence.
Exeter v Newport – BTTS
Exeter have been the kings of comeback recently leaving it late in each of their last two games. They were 3-0 down to Yeovil but completed a miraculous turnaround to secure a point. They followed it up with a late show against Mansfield to win 2-1. Reuben Reid has notched in both of those games and hit a 97th minute penalty against the Stags. At St James' Park they've netted in 9 of their last 10 including hitting 4 against Crewe, 2 against Blackpol and 3 against Yeovil and Cheltenham. Newport are looking to complete a great escape and Michael Flynn has his side putting in spirited displays. They won last time out to give themselves a fighting chance and have scored in each of their last 6 away matches. They've only kept one clean sheet in that run which came against out-of-form Morecambe.
