Hull v Middlesbrough – Hull Win
Hull were trailing by a 1 to nil against West Ham on Saturday afternoon and they hadn't really created much of note. The Tigers were struggling but Marco Silva's came out of the break with new ideas and kept on persevering before eventually breaking that resistance and winning 2-1. It shows the strength of the head coach and his tactical awareness. Lets not get carried away – it is only an out of form West Ham side BUT they could have laboured with the same ideas and failed to break through or scrape a draw. They now face a very winnable looking game hosting Middlesbrough. Boro huffed and puffed and looked more of an attacking threat against Swansea but were under the cosh in the latter stages and it may not be enough to get them anything here. They severely lack firepower and if Hull take the lead it's hard to see them being pegged back.
Alaves v Osasuna – Alaves Win
A bit of a short price for our second accumulator tip. Alaves are strong at home and are unbeaten in three here. Only Barcelona have come and won here since November and it's unlikely that Osasuna will cause too many problems. The strugglers are going to need a miracle to stay up and find themselves 16 points adrift at this late stage. They have plenty of injury problems ahead of this one and haven't won on the road since October. They've accumulated just a single point on their travels in 2017 and they are unlikely to trouble a decent outfit like Alaves who were last seen keeping a clean sheet to Real Sociedad here.
Sporting Gijon v Malaga – Sporting Gijon Draw No Bet
Gijon are making a real fist of saving themselves in La Liga and are edging closer to escaping the bottom three. They arrive here unbeaten in their last three matches including an impressive goalless draw against Sevilla last time out. They are back at home, the scene of their last victory against fellow strugglers Granada. Malaga are not in good form and have now scored just 1 goal in 4 matches. They have struggled on the road all season and a change of coach has not had the desired effect. They've failed to score on the road since mid-February and don't look confident going forward.
Ajax v AZ Alkmaar – Ajax Win & Over 2.5 Goals
Ajax will be hugely boosted by a vital win over Feyenoord at the weekend and are chasing down the Rotterdam side at the top of the table. They've been excellent and could have hit four or five here against the leaders. They created numerous chances and have hit 3-2-4-3-2 in their recent home games. AZ are not the side to watch if you want defensive prowess. They did keep a clean sheet against Groningen at the weekend but their visitors offered very little and away from home AZ shipped 5 at Feyenoord, 2 at Vitesse and 3 at Excelsior. It's ended 4-0 and 4-1 in two of the more recent hostings of this match.
Sheffield United v Coventry – Sheffield United Win
It could still depend on results on Tuesday (look out for the Bolton match) but Sheffield United could faesibly be promoted here. The Blades have had an excellent season under Chris Wilder and deserve to return to the second tier and they need to see off a resurgent Coventry in order to potentially book their place in the Championship. They've been excellent at home and I wouldn't be backing them if this was being played at the Ricoh. They professionally dispatched of Millwall last week and that's enough to give me confidence they will get the job done here. Their whole team is playing with confidence and even the full backs are scoring! Coventry are much improved under Mark Robins and the players are working hard for one another BUT they've had a day's less rest and they may still be coming down from their success at Wembley. It could have taken a lot out of them and depsite those recent improvements they have still only scored 4 goals in 7 away matches.
