Football Accumulator Tips & Predictions
Stoke v Crystal Palace – Stoke win
Stoke should beat Palace on Saturday especially if the visitors are even half as inept as they were last weekend against Sunderland. The Potters don't lose many at the Bet365 Stadium and drew 1-1 with Everton here recently. They may have drawn 4 of their last 5 home matches but have faced the aforementioned Everton, Manchester United and Southampton all of whom are better than Crystal Palace. The Eagles struggled to defend and didn't offer too much going forward last weekend and with the pressure back on them this could be a difficult tie for the away side.
Derby v Bristol City – Derby win
The Rams should be able to get the job done as our second accumulator tip. Steve McClaren rested several players in midweek with this fixture in mind as they chase the play-offs. They've been excellent at Pride Park all season and will take some beating here. They've conceded just 7 goals in 14 matches here and will be confident of keeping low scoring Bristol City off the scoresheet. The Robins finally ended their run of 9 games without a win at home to Rotherham last time out by a single goal margin but striker Tammy Abraham has been in the news for the wrong reasons this week and Lee Johnson may take him out of the firing line.
Fleetwood v Rochdale – Fleetwood win
Uwe Rosler and Fleetwood seem like a good fit. The German boss has created a terrific atmopshere amongst the squad and they're progressing nicely. The Cod Army have moved up to the League One play-off places and have been very good at Highbury. They've drawn their last two games but they were difficult tasks against Southend and Charlton. They've won 9 of their 15 matches at home losing just once. Rochdale lost heavily at home to Oxford and were held to a goalless draw in an insipid match with Bristol Rovers last weekend. Dale don't travel well and have various injury problems to contend with.
Luton v Crawley – Luton win
Crawley have the worst away form in the league and they didn't improve their record on a bleak Tuesday night by the seaside drawing 0-0 with Blackpool in midweek. Described as 'The worst team I've ever seen' by one particular Blackpool fan, Dermot Drummy's side struggled to string passes together and are staring at the possibility of a fourth consecutive game without a win. They've won just three of 15 games on the road. Luton can not always be relied upon at Kennilworth Road but I'm confident they'll have enough. They hit 5 in midweek against Yeovil in the EFL Trohpy and have Danny Hylton back from suspension. They should be strong enough to win this.
Mansfield v Hartlepool – Mansfield win
The Steve Evans revolution is in full-swing and Mansfield are climbing the table for their new boss. They've now won four of their last five matches and three in a row. They kept a clean sheet at the Hive last week beating Barnet 2-0. They should have too much for Dave Jones' Hartlepool who are improving slowly but havent been great on their travels. They went 1 up against Yeovil last weekend but couldn't hold on and look a bit shaky at the back. Mansfield should continue their upward curve here and are unbeaten in their last three here.
