Football Accumulator Tips
Burnley v Bristol City – Burnley win
The first accumulator tip is a fairly straightforward and short-priced selection. Premier League outfit Burnley have been sensational at home this season and they can progress through to the 5th round against out-of-form Bristol City. The Robins huffed and puffed against Nottingham Forest last weekend, but weren't able to find a way through. They've lost 8 straight games in the Championship and are sinking fast! They have been defeated in 11 of their last 12 games and a trip to Turf Moor is not the ideal draw. Burnley have already beaten Everton, Crystal Palace and Liverpool here this season and Sean Dyche won't be taking this lightly as he looks to continue the recent momentum here.
QPR v Burton – QPR win
The R's are playing well under Ian Holloway and are looking to continue their recent run. The Bristolian boss sometimes struggles to turn things around, but when his clubs get on a good run they can be difficult to stop. They've beaten Reading and Wolves and picked up a point against Fulham. The players are clearly enjoying life more over the past couple of weeks and they should be able to get the better of low-scoring Burton. The Brewers have netted more than a single goal in a match just seven times this season with only three of those coming on the road. They nearly got a draw against Cardiff last weekend and they may fall short once again. Nigel Clough has been heavily linked with the Nottingham Forest job this week which won't help them prepare for this.
Northampton v Coventry – Northampton win
Northampton have been in torrid form recently and lost 5-3 to MK Dons last weekend. There are just signs that things are improving though and they should have just enough to see off Coventry. They've been poor at home, but each of their last 5 matches have been against sides in the top eight and they only lost by a single goal to Bradford, Scunthorpe and Rochdale. They scored three times last weekend which shows that Justin Edinburgh's arrival is paying dividends from an attacking sense. Coventry have been poor recently and their last minute defeat to Fleetwood won't have helped morale. They lost to struggling Chesterfield last time out on the road.
Fleetwood v Southend – Fleetwood win
Fleetwood were superb in midweek as they saw off Sheffield United and kept a clean sheet. They are on a terrific run of form under Uwe Rosler and should be backed to keep it going. They are back at Highbury where they have won seven of the last eight games and have conceded just two goals in five games. They have added goals to their game this season and will be tough to stop. Southend have been on a decent run themselves, but were halted by Sheffield United. They had the week off after their postponement last week and they will be fresh, but they've been less convincing on the road. They've scored just two goals in three away games playing sides in the bottom half of the table and this will be much tougher.
Mansfield v Leyton Orient – Mansfield win
Steve Evans' Mansfield are playing well and surprisingly beat Cambridge last weekend. They have suddenly hit form and they're extremely hard to score against. Love him or loathe him – Evans always has an effect on teams. They are unbeaten in five and arrive here with three wins during that run. They've conceded just once in four matches and in the signing of Shaquille Coulthirst they have a man who can get them a few goals. Leyton Orient have improved but have lost three straight games and are slipping back towards the relegation zone. They've now conceded nine goals in their last three matches and Andy Edwards needs to turn them around quickly.
